Arvind Trivedi is an Indian actor. He is famous for playing the role of Ravan in Ramayana ( Ramanand Sagar’s show). He has a great experience of acting. He has worked on 300+ hind and Gujarati films. Also, he worked on another famous show Vikram Betal. He is the most talented actor. Also, they tried their luck in politics. They were elected a Member of Parliament from Sabarkatha constituency as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party and was in office till 1996.

Early Life

Arvind Trivedi was born on 8 November 1938 in Indore (current in Madhya Pradesh). His father used to work on mill and died of paralysis when Arvind Trivedi was a child. Arvind Trivedi has two elder brothers and a sister. His brothers are Bhalchandra and Upendra Trivedi. His elder brother Upendra Trivedi was also an actor. His brother Upendra Trivedi was a talented actor and known for  “Abhinay Samrat” and they died on 4 January 2015.

Arvind Trivedi was passionate about acting from childhood. He went to Bhavan’s College in Bombay (now Mumbai) for their higher education. on 4 June 1966, he married Nalini and after some time he had three daughters.

As he was passionate about acting from childhood, he followed his passion and became an actor. Their acting career was so good. He worked on 300+ films (Hindi & Gujarati), some films are so popular. He is best known for portraying Ravan in Ramanand Sagar’s television series Ramayan.

The show Ramayana was so famous in India. When it released in India no one wants to miss the episodes so people were gathered earlier to watch to serial. Till now most people used to watch this serial. Because of playing a good role of Ravan people are interested in him.

Apart from Ramayana seria, he worked on many amazing serial and films. Bikram aur Betal is also a popular show. He appeared in many popular Hindi films like Paraya Dhan, Jangal Me Mangal and Aaj Ki Taja Khabar etc.

Before working on Ramayana or apart from Ramayana he was famous for “Abhinay Samrat” for his excellent performance in the Gujarati play “Abhinay Samrat”.

He the most talented actor that’s why he got many films to offer. He worked on Gujarati and Hindi both movies so we can guess how talented he is.

In 2002 he was named as the acting chairman of the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC). This was a very big achievement for him. He worked on this for 1 year. Trivedi worked as CBFC chief from 20 July 2002 to 16 October 2003 and after that, they left this.

They tried their luck on politics also and In 1991, Arvind Trivedi was elected as a Member of Parliament from Sabarkatha constituency as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party and was in the office till 1996.

He was inspired by his acting career from his elder brother Upendra Trivedi. When he tried his luck in politics a few years ago his elder brother Upendra Trivedi was also a Member of Parliament who won elections in 1985 from congress. This seems like that he does something similar to his elder brother.

As we know the Role of Ravan is a negative role but he never thought anything is wrong with playing this role. People give him the same appreciation as others receive. Whenever he goes elsewhere people give him an appreciation for portraying a great role of Ravan.

In an interview, he told that he was giving an audition for Kevat’s role. He was the last one for the audition of Kevat but surprisingly Ramanand Sagar selected him for the role of Ravan.
